Journey Beyond Sound presents Sounds of Spring, a meditative gathering honoring the height of the blooming season, cultivating inner harmony and personal wellbeing.

Through immersive sound and intentional stillness, this experience offers space to pause, settle the nervous system, and reconnect with a deeper sense of presence.

Participants will be guided through a rich, layered soundscape designed to enhance the senses while gently quieting the mind, allowing the body to soften and the breath to slow. These journeys often bring about a state of deep relaxation where clarity, reflection, and inner balance can naturally emerge.

The evening will feature a multi-instrument sound experience including:

✨ Symphonic gongs
✨ Crystal and metal singing bowls
✨ Chimes and overtone instruments

🌿 Intuitive ceremonial sound

Together these instruments create a vibrational field that supports meditation, restoration, and subtle inner exploration.

This gathering takes place inside the First Church of Christ Scientist in Berkeley, a remarkable sanctuary built in 1910 and designed by renowned architect Bernard Maybeck.

With soaring wooden beams, warm natural materials, and exceptional acoustics, the space creates an atmosphere that feels both expansive and deeply peaceful. Many visitors experience a sense of awe the first time they enter this historic cathedral.

The venue welcomes people of all backgrounds and beliefs, making it a beautiful setting for shared meditation and sound.

Most participants will sit in the church pews. If space allows, guests may lie down across the pews. Otherwise, participants will be guided into a comfortable seated meditation.
